About
I live in Denver with my beautiful wife and two sons. We spend a lot of time outside in our backyard and on walks around the neighborhood. We laugh a lot. We're joyful and blessed.
I've had a winding, yet fulfilling career. After graduating from Vanderbilt in 2013, I worked as a grant writer at a grantwriting agency. I joined the DaVita "Village" in 2015 as a corporate strategy analyst. Our team was full of thoughtful, intelligent, and kind people. I grew a lot personally and professionally. And we had a lot of fun.
I left DaVita in 2018 and returned to writing, this time supporting for-profit businesses as a freelance copywriter. Within two years, I was supporting 10-12 businesses across a number of industries. I grew into a content strategist and marketing generalist who specializes in supporting startups and SMBs.
Music
Between 2009-2014, I played in a progressive rock band called Archive Nights. Our Clock Ocean - EP holds a special place in my heart. Check it out here. Every once in awhile, I'll listen to this album and get emotional. Songs like "Why I" and "Clock Ocean" feel like they were gifted to us.
Archive Nights broke up in early 2015. I started another project, Compass + Cavern, with two other band members from Archive Nights. Over the next 7 years, we took risks and became better performers. We learned how to run a business and make a creative endeavor profitable. I'm so proud of what we accomplished.
We fought hard through COVID, got married to our spouses, and became parents. In 2025, shortly after releasing our full-length album, Shift, we decided to go on an indefinite hiatus. We're still performing together in a rock Disney cover band called The Man Cubs with three other close friends. It's a thrill.
